There’s something happening in the world that we need to talk about.
It’s a (mostly) unconscious bias that prioritises the practical, the tangible, the logical, and the rational while side-lining the unseen, the intuitive, the deeply feeling and connective aspects of ourselves.
Over my time leading as a teacher, healer and coach within the spiritual industry, I’ve come to define this bias as a form of discrimination.
Spiritual discrimination marginalises heart-centred people who are here to make a difference—those who see things differently, who are connected to a higher wisdom, and who choose to follow a guiding light that goes beyond just themselves.
If you’re one of these people, you'll probably recognise feeling like you don't quite 'fit-in' and losing (or feigning) interest in surface-level conversations that don't float your boat, all while keeping your true thoughts, ideas and beliefs tucked away in case they're laughed at or not taken seriously.
The good news is, the tides are turning.
Alternative approaches and solutions are making their way into the mainstream (take yoga, for example), and spiritual teachings based in unconditional love and inclusion are more accessible than ever before.
Yet, the effects of this discrimination still linger. They are carried forward in the silent inner battle to translate what you know has value, into manifest vision…
The way you struggle to price your work, to fully land it's value, convert folk into your offering, and speak about it's impact in a way that really lands. Even when you know, deep in your heart, you have something incredible to share.
Please know you are not alone in this, and it means nothing about who you are or the value you have to share.
When society hasn't valued your work, it can be harder to value it yourself.
When your ideas haven't been heard, it can be harder to voice them yourself.
When your light has not been recognised, it can be harder to see it yourself.
Part of our work as changemakers is to keep turning the tides—not just externally, but within ourselves, first.
By going inward, you have the capacity to dismantle the internalised systems of oppression keeping you disconnected from the reasons your work matters—not just in your heart and knowing, but in your physical world and ability to speak it, too—so you can follow the path of your calling with unwavering certainty.
This is how we co-create global change—one person at a time, from the inside, out.
And it's a huge part of the work that I do with clients.
In my 1:1 sessions, we peel back the layers of conditioning that have kept you from fully claiming your power, so you can stand up boldly, sharing your vision, knowing why it matters, and being seen for wisdom you know in your heart is yours to share.
Take my client Nicole, for example.
Nicole came to me unsure and uncertain about whether she could make a go of the work she was so passionate about, stumbled over her words, and felt unseen and understood in her family of origin. She left saying:
“I've got so much clarity and refinement around my gifts and how I feel called to serve. A lot of the fog has cleared. I feel like my voice has cleared so much. I had so much further to go than I had initially thought around speaking my truth and embodying my wisdom. I feel more able to be myself and talk about my business with my family, without caring whether they get it or not. I feel so much more seen and I just know it's all going to come together in the right time."
When you're comfortable in your light—not perfectly, not always, and not without fear—but with a deep trust in who you are and what you’re here to bring, your impact expands.
This is when your words land, your message resonates, your presence allows possibility, and your offers become catalysts to a new kind of world—where everyone is seen, heard, valued and deeply appreciated for what they have to bring.
It's my passion and life's work to guide spiritual leaders, healers, teachers and changemakers “out of the closet” and be seen for who they truly are—to remember that you belong, your wisdom is wanted, and that what you have to share can truly make a difference.
If you're ready to reclaim your power, to stand taller, clearer and more confident in your purpose and speak with the authority that moves people to act—and you sense that working together is part of your path—I invite you to book a call.
I would love to unpack the pieces that are standing in your way so we can identify a clear path forward, and you can bring about the vision you hold in your heart, with confidence and conviction, knowing that ‘you got this’.
Your work matters. Your voice matters. And the world needs what you have to say.
