3 Ways to Attract Ideal Clients Online

If you want to appeal to ideal clients - you know, the dreamy ones that lift you up as much as you lift them up, leave you buzzing after a session and looking like a pro in every encounter - you need to be able to stand out and uniquely distinguish yourself in the marketplace.

Unfortunately, many spiritual business owners and start-ups, hold back on what makes them unique for fear of persecution, getting it “wrong” or simply not knowing what it is that makes them unique and the unique value and point of difference they have to offer.

It’s a bit like the old adage of “moths to a flame”. You have to be out there in the open, burning your light unapologetically and without reserve for clients to see and be attracted to you. If your flame is hidden behind an old cloak or clothing, the moths won’t be drawn in.

When you know what makes you unique, and you leverage that online, your Soul Mate clients will be sold on you and your ethos, well before they ever meet you or go to buy your offer.

Here are three ways to easily and uniquely identify yourself in the marketplace so you can magnetize your message online and attract the Soul Mate clients that will grow your business with ease.

Be bold enough to share the edgy, polarizing or potentially unpopular opinions that no-one else is speaking, but are true for you. They may not be the messages everyone else is leading with, and they may not be true across the board, but if they are true for you as an individual and integral to your lived experience, they will likely resonate for your Soul Mate client too.

For example, one of the messages I love to share is why you probably won’t make your first $10K straight away. In fact, it may take years of steady, consistent and concerted effort and commitment to birth your greatest vision. For the ego, this is not a very appealing perspective, but for those who have been steadily chipping away at their Soul business for years, putting in the hard yards, it is a soothing balm that validates their experience and helps them to leverage it.

The right clients for me, will be attracted to this message. Those who are not, will run in the other direction.

Sharing your potentially unpopular opinion or message is not always easy to do, especially when it goes against the grain of what is commonly said or promoted in your industry, or you haven't seen it shared elsewhere, so there is no-one else to validate it but you. But when you do, you set yourself apart from the masses as someone of integrity who is willing to lean into the places of discomfort others may not have dared to go, while speaking directly to the heart of your Soul Mate client.

Whilst it may feel edgy at first, and you do run the risk of turning away those who are not the right clients for you, having the courage to go against the grain of popular belief, when what you share is true and tested for you, you pave the way to a New Paradigm of existence for all to see and do.

Repeated consistently over time, this kind of unique thinking and ownership of yourself as a sovereign individual has the potential to position you as a thought-leader or the go-to-expert in your industry.

2. Share your transformational story

Own and share your authentic story - both the highs and successes of where you are now, as well as where you began and the messy bits in between. Share it all as it relates to your Soul Mate client and what you have on offer. In doing so, you open an unprecedented gateway of connection between you and your ideal clients.

In a world that is predominantly ruled by shame, and we only see the bright sunny days of vacation and overnight success stories on Instagram and Facebook, your authentic learning curves and tough grit stories of overcoming are key to positioning you as an approachable and authentic expert on the topics that matter.

When shared from the heart, your story of transformation, triumph and becoming - including the truth of your painful beginnings - is medicine to the ears of your Soul Mate client. Not only does it provide a glimmer of hope as to what is possible for them too, but it shines a light on the humanness we all experience and helps them feel understood.

Breaking down these barriers of shame and normalizing the real human journey, whilst also positioning you as an expert in the area they desire to succeed in, is essential to creating the air of safety and relatability that will have you calling in your Soul Mate clients with ease. Simply put, if you’re too high up on a pedestal, they'll never be able to reach you. 

To do this for yourself, think back through to the key moments, breakdowns (and breakthroughs), wins and turning points in your personal journey, and how they have brought you to where you are today. Then weave these stories and messages in your marketing copy and messaging anytime it relates to your Soul Mate clients and the services you have on offer.

Leading with your story sets you up as a courageous and inspiring leader by showcasing what you have overcome and the expertise you have to offer, whilst also making you approachable. It levels the playing field and opens a doorway for your Soul Mate clients to connect, know, like and trust you - all of which is important when it comes to turning potential clients, into paying clients.

In the process, you may even inspire someone else’s healing journey, ignite a conversation, or make that which once seemed impossible to face all the more manageable. And surely, we all need a bit of that.

3. Use a unique and specific title

We all know the terms ‘Coach’ and ‘Life Coach,’ but what does any of this actually mean? In an industry that is flooded with new coaches everyday, it’s essential to distinguish yourself quickly in the marketplace so you can grab the attention of Soul Mate clients immediately, before they go elsewhere.

With a few simple tweaks to how you introduce yourself and what you lead with, you can instantly set yourself apart from the crowd while piquing the interest of your ideal clients. What better way to do that, than with a specific title that speaks to the people you serve and results you get?

Currently I am calling myself an Activator of Soul and Business Potential, which immediately tells potential clients I assist with business related matters, and I am spiritually oriented.

What once meant very little as ‘Coach’ alone, suddenly becomes much more meaningful when presented as ‘Women’s Success Mentor’ or ‘Holistic Parenting Coach’. When you do this, not only do you position yourself as an authority in a specific field or subject matter, but your title alone becomes a shining beacon of hope for your Soul Mate client. You also let them know upfront what it is you are able to help them with - or not.

To do this for yourself, take some time to get really clear on what it is you “do”, who you help, and what exactly it is you help them achieve, then integrate it into your title.

Whilst your newfound title may mean very little to someone who is NOT your ideal client, to you and your niche, it is gold. The bonus is saving a lot of time and energy because anyone who is not an ideal match for you is immediately filtered out - all of which helps to amplify your magnetism by ensuring your field remains clear and energized, and your list is engaged and following you with interest.
